Popular vicar-detective crime series Grantchester returns for a landmark tenth season.
It’s 1962 and hope is in the air in this tenth series of Grantchester. Reverand Alphy feels embraced by the parish, which is blossoming under his care. In Detective Inspector DI Geordie Keating, Alphy’s found a best friend and an intellectual equal. Love is proving more elusive, however, until a case throws him in the path of an unexpected romance.
This series explores everything from stuffy academics to strippers, all within the wider context of Britain in the early 1960s where the sexual revolution, the rise of second wave feminism, and the insidious creep of the far-right affects our characters’ lives. This gripping series will test Alphy and Geordie to the limit.
