
The Collen Mashawana Foundation (CMF) is proud to announce that its Founder, Dr Collen Mashawana, will be honoured at the prestigious 2026 Community Builders in Africa Awards to be held in Harare, Zimbabwe.

This recognition celebrates Dr Mashawana’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian work, social upliftment, and community development across Africa through the work of the Collen Mashawana Foundation.
Speaking on the recognition, Dr Mashawana said:
“This honour is not just about me — it reflects the power of collective action, compassion, and purposeful leadership through the work of the Collen Mashawana Foundation. Every family restored to dignity, every elderly citizen cared for, every woman and young person empowered, and every community uplifted reminds us why we continue to serve.”
The Foundation also extended its appreciation to the organisers of the awards and acknowledged the dedication of the CMF team, whose ongoing commitment continues to positively impact vulnerable communities across the continent.
The 2026 Community Builders in Africa Awards will bring together distinguished African leaders, innovators, philanthropists, and social impact pioneers who continue to shape the future of the continent through service and transformative leadership. Among those expected to be honoured alongside Dr Mashawana are Hon. Paul Mavima, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera, Hon. Frederick Shava, Hon. Tinoda Machakaire, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, Divine Ndhlukula, Nigel Chanakira, Tsitsi Masiyiwa, and Dr. Dixon Chibanda.
Dr Mashawana reaffirmed his commitment to advancing hope, restoring dignity, and driving sustainable change across African communities.
